Join CSUA!

The CSUA is the only undergraduate CS organization that represents, and is open to, all Berkeley undergraduates. Regardless of whether you're already in the major, still taking the 61 series, or even just thinking about or interested in CS, you're welcome in the CSUA. The CSUA is one of the oldest organizations still active at Berkeley and we serve as one of the prime representatives for student interests to the faculty and department. Beyond that, we also try to provide a forum for members to socialize and enjoy their time here at Berkeley. Some of the benefits of joining include...

  • You can participate in our social events, where there's almost always free food. =) We typically have several general meetings a term, but we also host other events such as board game nights, movie nights, video game tournaments, or other recreational and/or social activities.

  • You can obtain a login account on our servers, providing a username@csua.berkeley.edu email address as well as a valuable computing resource. As a general rule, our environment is more accomodating to self-directed project work than even the named instructional accounts. Should you choose to take advantage of it, you also get a csua.berkeley.edu/~username web site.

  • You can check out books from our CS library. This becomes an invaluable resources when you're awake at 1am, still working on that CS170 problem set, and need to find just one more explanation for that obscure algorithm.

  • We have uber video game consoles in our office, ranging from the novel PS2 to the truly amazing SNES.

  • We're fun to hang with.

Before you wet yourself with excitement, amazed by this irresistible offer and convinced that it must be too good to be true, rest assured that you can have all of this AND MORE just by joining! In addition to your immortal soul, all that we ask is that you come by one of our meetings or events, introduce yourself, and fill out a small form. Membership, like our never-ending attempts at humor, always comes free of charge.
