Minutes for the excomm meeting recorded by Mark Bergman (cc-sec) - /10/7/82 EJC: Time to start thinking about Engineers Week (SP 83). Maybe this time we will actually do someting. Money: We have received $2100 from ASUC for this year. Now, we must move this cash into misc so we can do what we will with the money. Thus, we need some fund raisers. Suggested Upcoming Events: We need some! Oh yes, we do have a few suggestions: 1. Movies (Anytime) - possible co-production with SUPERB for Tron. 2. DnD convention (W 83) - Hackerscon II. $50 from misc fund has been approved for prizes. All interested, contact cc-21 or cc-sec. 3. Red Cross Project (9th week, F82). There is a call for personel to conduct the upcoming munchathon. Contact cc-treas for more info. 4. The Hackoff - Submit the best program, win some $$. $100 has been approved as prize money (from misc. fund). Time for some organization and publicity. There will be a $2 entry fee per program. New cc-cons: Yes, we suckered someone into doing it;, but, he does it so well. Chris Johnson has been appoinited and approved as cc-cons. Here are a few policies he will be implementing: 1. There are still going to 20 consulting accounts. Distribution of these accounts will come from a list of 25-35 possible consulting people and trimming the list to those who want to consult. 2. Any consultant who misses 2 consecutive hours, with no reasonable excuse, will lose his/her account and will be replaced. 3. Possible consulting at Comp. Center (2nd floor Evans). Make a deal with Comp Center to get some accounts in trade for consulting. Job Committee: The program is getting real close (plateau phase). Chis Williams needs an assistant to finish it up (take it as you will). The assistant will get an account if any are open, else be in top consideration for an account. Also, Chris and/or assistant will check out the prices of simular resume services near and on campus to be used in setting our prices. Prof Woodsen's Computers: Prof. Woodsen has given us 2 Kim type computers (6502's). They will be placed in the library for now and will be running soon. Currently, They can only do machine language programs. This should be remidied soon. Next General Meeting: It will be held Th Nov 4, at 7:30, in 2503 LSB. There will be a speaker who is being decided upon currently.
