You move to a new town because you've got ESPer powers that you don't
want others to know about.. and you meet, the girl of your dreams.. But,
somehow, you end up going out with her best friend instead... Leads to
interesting situations doesn't it? This is the story of Kasuga Kyousuke, an
ESPer, who meets and falls for Ayukawa Madoka, who has a bad
rep but is really a nice person inside her prickly exterior, and meets
Ayukawa's best friend, Hiyama Hikaru, who falls for
him, .. and.. well.. you know how the story goes.
Before Maison Ikkoku, this was my favorite TV series.
Following the convoluted love triangle between Ayukawa Madoka, Kasuga
Kyousuke, and Hiyama Hikaru, is interesting in itself, but the
added boost given by the fact that Kyousuke's family are all
ESPers gives an added twist and lends itself handily to creating some of
the more uncomfortable situations. It's always fun to see how Kyousuke
will work his way out of another mess he's gotten himself into. Very
funny, very poignant and touching at the end of the TV series, and
heart-rending beyond belief in the movie, this is a great series and a
must see for any serious anime fan.
