After thinking for a long time, I finally thought I had the perfect project in mind. I wanted to do my IDS 113 project on Hong Kong. My interest in Hong Kong probably stems from the fact that I was born there. At a very young age (around 4 years old), my family immigrated to the United States. In essence I am very American and did not know much about Hong Kong. But a few years back, I had an interest in finding out more about the place I was born. I went back to Hong Kong to visit some of my relatives for the fist time. I made a few friends and learned a lot about my past as well as Hong Kong. Ever since that great experience, I've been back every year for the past five years. Thus, I wanted to create a homepage where I can offer advice on where to go and what to do in Hong Kong. I also wanted to express my views about various subject matters relating to the current Hong Kong and it's future. I have visited various web sites about Hong Kong, most of which were created by organizations th ere. Many of the sites are fabulous ( I wish I had the resources and time to create one comparable to their's), and they were a valuable resource to me in creating this homepage. I have copied images and received ideas from some of these homepages to he lp me create mine's ( I hope they don't mind considering that this is for a class.) Of course I will also have links available to these wonderful sites. Because I cannot create a homepage as comprehensive as the pages created by these organizations (e.g. Hong Kong Tourist Association ), I will talk about Hong Kong in a more personal and subjective way....Enjoy!
