One of the people that I worked on
The Campanile Movie
with has gone off and become famous. George Borshukov did the research behind
"bullet-time" shots in the film, The Matrix.
He works for Manex Entertainment and is
currently working on
Mission: Impossible 2.
You can find out more information about Mission: Impossible 2 at the
official web
site. Manex digitised the entire city of Sydney for the movie,
which should make for some great visual effects!
Manex Entertainment was also behind Romeo Must Die,
and What Dreams May Come (which George worked on).
Other Movies
- Lord of the Rings.
Directed by Peter Jackson, visual effects by WETA. A film about
the story to end all stories.
- Romeo Must Die.
John Gaeta was behind the effects on this movie as well - note the
martial arts sequences and the CG work showing internal organs
and Chi of the characters. (Manex worked with Jet Li on visualizing
those sequences.)
- Final Fantasy: The Movie
is also going to be hot stuff when it comes out. By far the most
realistic CG drawn from the ground by Square's talented legion of
CG artists and animators.
- Princess Mononoke.
Original film by Hayao Miyazaki. Translated into english by graphic
novelist, Neil Gaiman.
- X-Men.
I don't have much information on this production, but it looks like
a promising movie and a return to superhero action films.
