"a mild-mannered reporter for a metropolitan..."

Wow! I haven't changed this in over a year. I now work at Openwave Systems (formerly Phone.com) in Redwood City, California. I have quite the cool job of making the graphics and animation technology that go into those neat wireless mobile phones. None of those phones are here in the United States yet, so you'd have to go to Japan to see them.

"you must do what you feel is right"

Making games was my passion for the longest time. Not those crazy shoot-em-up games, but the ones that tell a story, and drop you, the player, into the midst of it. I interned at Sierra Online long ago, and thought that was the coolest job anyone could ever have.

I've changed my dream job... I think what's calling me is making movie special effects, hell, making movies, and computer animation. If I wasn't working at Openwave, I'd probably would've ended up at ESCFX, working on Matrix 2 and 3, or something, :) (Probably getting coffee is more like it)
