Miner 2049'er
Miner 2049'er is a game I spent my childhood playing on my old Atari 800xl. The basic idea is that
you are this miner guy running around on these strange levels and you have to walk over every single
brick on the level to finish it. There are, of course, strange little guys roaming through the
levels that will kill you if you touch them. But, you can kill them by picking up various items
throughout the mine. When you pick up these items, the enemies change to happy enemies, and you
can then touch them and kill them. Basically, this game is a strange variation on PacMan.
Collecting the dots becomes walking over all the bricks and power pellets to eat the ghosts become
the various items in the level. Anyway, now I've written way too much about Miner 2049'er.
Here is the current version of my port. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!! It is
only a PPC app right now and it's still pretty primitive. You can run using the arrow keys, jump
using the space bar, and quit using cmd-Q. You can't climb ladders yet, so you're pretty limited to
what you can do. The graphics are ripped right from the original game. If I ever finish this thing,
I plan on making new graphics.
