Here is a litle history of my experience with martial arts, that lead me to grappling. I first stared when I was about thirteen by taking Judo at my local YMCA. Then I moved on to junior high school where I found Aikido to be very interesting. I studied Aikido for about a year at the West LA Aikido Institute. Then as I graduated into high school, I tried out for wrestling. While wrestling, I attended Dan Lewis's Fullerton Wrestling Camp. I wrestled for 3 years. During my second year of high school wrestling I stared training in Brazilian Jui Jitsu.I trained mostly with the Machado Brothers in Redondo Beach mostly private lessons. From there I moved to No. California, Berkeley to go to college. At CAL we never had a good grappling school. So my friends and I started a small group in which there are others who have also trained and have some experience in grappling. We practice on and off about two times a week. I have recently been introduced to Ken Shamrock and will begin training with his group at the Lion's Den in Lodi. I have a passion for this great sport and hope to provide an insight for those who might be interested.
