Chev-a-versary!
Mark & I went to the (now gone) San Francisco 4th & Howard
Chevys on our third Valentine's Day together. Mark gnawed his tortilla
into a heart shape. Awwww! We also had our second Valentine's Day at the
Chevys in El Cerrito, and Mark's Valentine's Day gift to me that year was
my beloved Chevys binder that holds all of my Chevys rating sheets. He
decorated the binder with many of the images you see on the Rating Sheet
page on this web site. On our second anniversary together we tried to go
to El Cerrito again, only to find to our surprise that it had closed! Because
we had tickets to see a movie later that night, and didn't have a lot of
time to change our plans around, we ended up going to the nearby Chuck
E. Cheese instead (this wasn't nearly as bad as it sounds). Anyway,
Chevys is a lovely place to go on Valentine's Day - there is even the "Lovers
Platter" - and nothing says romance like balloon animals.
I do find it a little strange that the only two Chevys that I've ever
known to close - San Francisco 4th & Howard and El Cerrito - were the
only two Chevys we've gone to for Valentine's Day. Is Chevys trying to
tell us something about our relationship? :(
