work out their contract differences with producers Denzil Foster and
Thomas
McElroy. Group member Terry Ellis is said to be in the studio with
Foster
and McElroy working on a solo project.
- Pebbles is suing Arista Records and her soon to be ex-husband LA Reid
for $10 million for stealing TLC from her Pebbitone production company.
The
singer, who's real name is Perri Reid, says LaFace coerced TLC away from
her
with promises and secret payments. Her suit claims TLC's recent
bankruptcy
filing is a way for the group to get out of its 8 record deal with
Pebbitone.

That long awaited New Edition reunion album featuring Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, Ralph Tresvant, Michael Bivens, Ricky Bell, and Ronnie DeVoe will finally be released in October. Since we are talking about reunions, Guy members, Teddy Riley, Aaron Hall and Damian Hall have reunited to do a video for a song featured on the "New York Undercover" TV show album. The album, which will feature songs by Mary J. Blige, J odeci's Jo-Jo and KC Hailey and others, is slated for a fall release. In addition, Guy will eventually record a new album.
Here's the latest on the never ending En Vogue saga. Black Radio Exclusive Magazinecolumnist Steven Ivory reports that En Vogue *hasn't* split up, and they're still working with their long-time producers Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy. Once Dawn Robinson and Terry Ellisfinish up their solo projects, the group will put out a new album out sometime in 1996. Meanwhile, Terry Ellis is going to release her solo album, "Southern Gal" in October on Elektra Records. Maxine Jones is studying acting, Dawn Robinson has a production company "Break of Dawn", and Cindy Herron is spending time with her husband and baby.
Speaking of divas, an all-out media campaign seems to be underway to promote the October 3 release of Mariah Carey's sixth album "Daydream." Billboard magazine reports that Columbia Records is launching a year-long promotional campaign to i ncrease Carey's pop diva status world wide. Some of the promo plans include a major network-television special, an Internet World Wide Web site and her first live performances abroad. Recently, radio stations had to received Mariah Carey's new single "Fantasy" via satellite because unauthorized copies of the song were already airing on stations in Tampa, Atlanta, LA and 4 other cities.
