Current Projects

Well, in the spirit of playing around with the new Netscape, I've created a little applescript for mac users that creates cool gradient effects with text on a page. Here are a couple of examples that I've created with it If you'd like a copy of it, mail me, and I'll send it to you. Makes doing these kinds of pages very simple.

I've started to compile some Livescript examples for Netscape 2.0. Since the mac version still doesn't have Java support, I've been forced to learn some livescript. Anyway, check out the page. I have a few examples up there now, and plan to be putting more up. As always, if you have something you've done with Livescript, let me see it. I'm always interested.

Well, I'm always working on some project. Right now, I've got two major ones. The first one, Electomatic, is an extremely funny site about the 1995 Mayoral elections in San Francisco. It dubuts on Monday October 16. And will be running until the end the elections on November 7. You don't have to be politically inclined to look at this site, nor do you have to know much about the candidates. Trust me, this site has a ton to offer. Great graphics, quite a few neat pages, and it's extremely funny. I did a lot of the HTML for this site so I was able to read everything, and I was laughing my ass off the whole time. To give you a quick preview without having to dig around the site for yourself, check out:

Also included at the electomatic site are answers to some outragoues polls that web surfers get to answer. While you're wandering through the site, these polls will pop up at random asking you questions like, What does Wendy call Frank's Member?.

And there's much more, much, much more. Check it out.

Electomatic is a production by World Sports & Events Now.

I'm also working on a project for University of California Extension Center for Media and Independent Learning. This site has been done entirely by me and isn't quite finished yet, although it's very close. CMIL offers courses to people who are not students of the University of California. If you want to learn more about the Independent Learning Program, find out how it works.

We're also launching an area on America Online which will allow for people to complete their coursework with their personal computers. It's a very exciting program, and I'll post more information when it becomes available.

Past Projects

In conjunction with World Sports and Events Now, I also helped do a lot of the programming for the Del Mar Track Page. Although it's not running now, you might notice my What's Miles Watching On TV Script. I also did all of the programming that allowed for racing results, entries, and many other live aspects of the site to be updated automatically as soon as they were ready.
Last, but not least, I helped do some of the Flintridge Amateur Horse Show page. Again, you may notice the camera.
