The Roman Lie Detector

This is the famous lion mouth where ancient roman couples go to visit before they get marry. The couple takes turn placing their hands into the mouth of the lion, like what I'm doing, and swear their love to one another. Legend has it that the mouth of the lion will close on his/her hand, cutting it off, if one lies. This site is found outside of a remote church.
