The Oregon coast is the kind of place you want to spend a lot of time at, because it's so pretty. Sure, you can zip through it at 80 miles a day and be done with it in 3 or 4 days, but what's the point?
Sometimes, it doesn't seem so pretty, since it rains a fair bit in Oregon, so make sure you bring your rain gear:
On the ride down, I was fortunate to meet other tourists. One of them, Martin, rode with me for a day or so. Martin was from Switzerland, carried a ton on his bike, and was really strong:
