Moschino

Moschino

History
Moschino, a former art student, began his fashion career around 1971 as a sketcher for Giorgio Armani, with whom he worked on collections for Beged'Or and Genny. Beginning in 1977 he designed for Cadette, launched his own line in 1983. Since then he has become known, if not universally admired, for his send-ups of conventional fashion thinking. he has sent pairs of models out on the runway in the same outfit, one wearing it as it would appear in a serious fashion presentation, the other as it might be worn on the street. He has also distributed fresh tomatoes to the audience so they could let fly at any styles the disliked. He believes that people should take fashion and wear it their own particular style. His motto is, De gustibus non est disputandum - Who's to say what is good taste?

Don't forget to visit the newly opened Moschino Forever Boutique at 362 N. Rodeo Dr., the only one in U.S.A. (Next stop: New York City!) Here, apart from Moschino's Haute Couture collection, you can find his Moschino Cheap and Chic Collection, as well as the fun Moschino Jeans line.
