Industrial Engineer. Develop and maintain equipment, labor, and utilization models for capacity planning; recommending capital and labor adds to meet projected product volume demand. Drive Production Control and Manufacturing priorities to meet capacity demand targets. Create and lead Productivity Pit team. Interface with Finance to define Manufacturing targets for cost of goods. Represent Manufacturing and QA’s information needs in the Information Technology Team. A key member, developer, and project leader during the implementation of an Enterprise-Wide Information System (EIS) in the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Production Control areas.

Rockwell Semiconductor Systems, Newport Beach, CA (February 1996 to August 1997)

Industrial Engineer. Semiconductor manufacturing areas of focus: HiVac and Photomask., Chemical Mechanical Polishing/Planarization (CMP) and Photolithography. Performed capacity studies and developed capacity models. Drove productivity improveme nts; focused on reducing cycle time, increasing throughput, and improving tool coverage. Designed fab cleanroom and chase layouts, respecting ergonomics and material flow. Planned and managed capital projects.

Applied Materials, Santa Clara, CA (August 1995 to December 1995)

Industrial Engineering Intern. Redesigned final assembly and final testing for the Metal Etch MxP Centura product line. Interviewed technicians and performed time studies. Reallocated manpower and scheduled materials procurement. Created a computer model to simulate different process layouts.

Rockwell International: Digital Communications Division, Newport Beach,CA (Summer 1995)

Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering Intern. Analyzed and documented the process flow in the Photomask area of the fab. Performed time studies on the operators and tools. Created capacity models for the tools and the entire system and ide ntified bottlenecks. Analyzed throughput of the system and made suggestions on improvements. Presented results to the Industrial Engineering and Photomask departments and the Plant Manager.

Spectrian, Mountain View, CA (March 1995 to April 1995)

Production/Facilities-Planning Consultant. Analyzed floor layout of an assembly line for a new line of power amplifiers. Simulated facilities layout and analyzed simulation output using XCell+. Documented results and suggestions and prese nted documentation to client.

Systems Integration Laboratory, U.C. Berkeley, CA (June 1994 to May 1995)

Laboratory Programmer. Created software objects in Objective C and designed a prototype graphical user interface (GUI) for controlling manufacturing workcells. Analyzed and modified other lab projects and integrated them into a computer a ided manufacturing (CAM) application.

Radio Shack, Berkeley, CA (Summer 1993)

Sales Associate. Assisted customers in purchasing decisions and transactions.
