hat is an accident? An accident requires hoopla and whoop-de-doo. An
accident requires a proclamation, and a title. An accident requires
finger pointing in a desired locale, preferrably away from any involved
parties. An accident is an event from another dimension that sports
itself into this one, and ta-daah! An accident. Followed by ritual. An accident always has an aftermath, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant as accidentally bumping into someone. And a reverberance, ooh, a moral to the story... from now on we must always look where we are going! And then the next person comes along and see how nicely you avoid colliding into that person? See how alert you are? Because that small accident was a happenstance, not something that will happen again, right? But if you really knew that, then why would you need to prove it to yourself?
Because deep down we are all afraid of being homeless. What if being homeless simply came about due to a series of accidents? After all, a series of accidents only happen to those individuals who cannot take care of themselves. So, if you have two or more accidents in a row, you are losing it. Your self-esteem plummets, you have a nervous breakdown, you become extremely unattractive and smelly and... homeless. A lone, homeless being. Abandoned by God.
And why would you assume that? Abandoned? Is it because, somewhere along the line, you did the abandoning? And to whom? Have you already abandoned something vital to beauty and don't even realize it?
And so, to cap it, we repeat the opening phrase, "What is an accident?"
An accident is a window to our humanity. Say hello to your destiny.
Have fun poking yourself in the eye.
