Update of 14 September 2008

Given the plastering of cobwebs and the creakiness of the floorboards around this site, I'd be shocked if anyone even visited it anymore; it has likely become one of those haunted houses wherein only ghosts pass through. But on the off-chance people haven't gotten discouraged in the nine-month interim, here is another Update from the decrepit OAC.

And it is merely this: two of the founding members of the OAC are going to be making an odd variety of sounds, in public (and for free!) as part of the Illuminated Corridor on 3 October 2008, in downtown Oakland, right at the corner of Broadway and Telegraph Avenues. The Illuminated Corridor combines avant-projectionists and audio madmen (and madwomen), resulting in a pretty damn unique experience.

On another front, a brief (brief!) bit of OAC-style textual nonsnse appears on irr. app. (ext.)'s latest release "Aspiring to an Empty Gesture Vol. 1" which is available through Signor Waldroni's MicePace. Wacky stuff.

Hopefully it won't be nigh on a year before the next Update. We shall see.

Update of 6 December 2007

More Sinister Narratives are up for viewing. Or, rather, the finishing of J's story has arrived. And there is more in the offing. (Ultimately.)

Two of the OAC are now older. Ha ha. (said Bosse-de-Nage.)

Update of 29 November 2007

Just a note to say that our spiritual siblings up there in the Great Northern Country, the jolly Recordists, have fixed a name to another one of their many varied projects, and have now created an electronic vehicle of it for the world to see. It's called North Mutator, and a few contributions from OAC members are hidden amongst the bountiful treasure that is on display. Their prolific nature puts us to shame. People worth getting to know about.

Update of 25 November 2007

Little to report on the OAC front, but considering the overabundance of time we have here at the Head Office, we thought we'd post a couple more excerpts of the Telling of Unsavoury Yarns that happened at the Berkeley City Club this past summer. So here is most of (the beginning was, unfortunately, lost to the aether) G's story, (a previously unposted OAC story, with a different, updated and elaborated ending), with music by D. Santomieri and J. Kaiser, and that oldie-but-goodie by Dean Santomieri. Minutes of fun.

Hope everybody out there enjoyed Buy Nothing Day, and observed it properly.
