Technical issues (Windows)

If you are using Windows, please follow the following instructions. Some of the contents have problems and without updating (replacing) the files as noted, it will not work properly on your PC. We are really sorry about this.

1. Replace Berkeley.MBA.03.mov with Berkeley.MBA.03.update.mov (56.3MB)
(This fixes the problem of getting the message: "Couldn't open the file "BerkeleyMBA03.mov" because it is not a file that Quick Time understands.")
2. Download UCB_MBA_Year_Book_03_update.pdf (41.2MB) and use as a substitute of pages from page 43 to page 49 of UCB_MBA_Year_Book_03.pdf that came with the CD-ROM.
(This fixes the problem that we have in the last part of the PDF file of getting "shaded" pictures that are in a specific format.)

Please feel free to post to this entry, any questions related to Windows platform.

Technical issues (Mac OS)

Even if you are using Mac OS, the PDF file may cause a problem. Please follow the instructions.
Again, we are very sorry for this trouble.

If you are using Mac OSX then:
1. Use Preview instead of Acrobat (or Acrobat Reader) to view and print the Year Book PDF file.
or

If you are using Mac OS9, you don't have the first option.
Please feel free to post to this entry, any questions related to Mac OS.

Slide Show Software

A lot of people asked me how I make those slide shows. I am using iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, and Still Life. All of them runs only on and most of them comes with Mac OS X. I know that there would be a lots of alternative solutions on Windows but I am not that familiar with them. A google search might help you find a good one for you:

Smaller PDF!

Thanks to Andrew Ye, now we have access to a much smaller PDF file of the yearbook! A brief explanation can be read here. You can also download the file directly from here (22MB, including the updated pages).
